@yangl1996 also I don’t think megaeth is a scammy name - it is everything a true developer could dream of. Especially with those t-shirts. I mean… look at this @megaeth
Yet another reason to build those unique zero to one applications with @megaeth: if you’re a developer, @yangl1996 will chase you down, fly you to Berlin, and put you up in a hotel just to make it happen.
If we want more users—not just traders—we need to look at global processes and ask, What can we decentralize? Chain abstraction could open doors to new use cases, but we’re still staying in the safe zone. And no one wants to take it on. Everyone’s like, ‘I’m just here to give tools to traders.’ And so we stay where we are. @ParticleNtwrk@AbstractSummit #Devcon2024
@ParticleNtwrk
That’s what I’m talking about! We’re still focused on a narrow user base—people who came here to trade. Everything we build in Web3 is still aimed at traders, and it’s shaping the tools we create. Imagine if we designed for broader use cases beyond just trading.
Just a gentle reminder: while you’re fine-tuning multichain and complete abstraction, @wert_io has already solved the user-to-smart contract problem. Fiat to smart contracts—for any use case.
#Devcon2024#ChainAbstraction
So maybe it’s not really about that. The only real use case of Web3 is decentralization. Or maybe: the only use case of decentralization is… decentralization.

@AbstractSummit#Devcon2024 Before chain abstraction, there was one main abstraction: fiat connectivity. We decided the problem was with the technology and created hundreds of new blockchains. The use cases, though, have stayed more or less the same. Of course, some new things have emerged, but in the big picture, as long as blockchain is primarily about money, its use cases are essentially financial.
Wake me up in a year and ask what they’re discussing at the Web3 conference. I’ll say, ‘How to make crypto easier and finally attract users.’ Oh, they are also launching debit cards. #Devcon2024
@AbstractSummit “You don’t need to know which chain this app is built on”. That’s so Apple-like. What a striking contrast between yesterday’s Ethereum Cypherpunk Congress and today’s event.
Jokes aside, Web3 started with Snowden for me in 2019 at the Web3 Summit in Berlin. It was the moment I realized that building tech wasn’t just about innovation—it was about creating a new kind of society. Creating architecture that allows freedom by design. Building technology that allows sovereignty and equality through mathematics. #redacted
I was just watching Snowden speak remotely at [REDACTED], and he mentioned how people are always glued to their phones in the subway or on flights. And I thought… which subway, Edward? Now I can’t stop picturing him living in some city, quietly riding the subway, and everyone’s too busy staring at their screens to notice him. #redacted #NEAR @Snowden
