Was chatting with @svembu ji this morning about limits of AI. I asked him what’s left for us once models commoditize reasoning.
He said and I quote (with consent) -
"Nature, Nurture, Culture, and Scripture."
Liked that perspective. Intelligence is no longer the moat :)
Be hungry like Samsung.
Samsung has just recorded a quarterly operating profit of USD 80 billion or almost Rs 8 lakh crore! Its annual profit may exceed the combined profits of all listed companies in India.
Its story is very amazing. Unlike the US tech companies which were founded as tech companies, Samsung was founded as a trading company which moved into textiles and food processing. Much later, it moved to consumer electronics like ACs and mobile phones. And from there into cutting-edge memory chips. What an evolution.
Companies like Samsung generate lakhs of jobs in Korea and other countries, including India. And women are a big part of the workforce.
Samsung, which is owner-driven, has shown how companies must remain hungry and dynamic to do more even when they have achieved considerable success.
Keep growing and innovating. Nothing is impossible.
"4 crore Indians work in IT, GCCs and BPOs, and together they earn $350 billion a year in foreign exchange. When I tell IT companies AI will disrupt them, they say we started with Y2K and kept transitioning. Then AI companies say coding will be automated, and IT says coding is only 20% of our time."
"I once asked Claude AI to build a Warren Buffett style portfolio. The answer was not very different from Berkshire Hathaway's annual report."
"So some IT companies will stay dinosaurs and some will reinvent like a phoenix. Nokia was once a timber company, Wipro sold vegetable oil. I can't tell you yet which is which, but enterprise AI could become as big a business as today's IT industry."

There is an unwritten rule to life that most people never get told. After every long stretch of hardship and uncertainty, a period comes where you make quantum leaps across multiple areas of your life at once. It happens all at once, and it happens because of everything you survived before it. The only requirement on your end is simple. Do not give up on yourself before that period arrives.
Special puja takes place at Somnath Temple for the recovery of Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian pilot stabbed while resisting an attempt to overtake/crash a Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight.
I read one of the most Underrated advice from Rakesh Jhunjhunwala which he gave in Flame University (read further only if you’re a business owner)
“As long as your company is gathering earnings, PE can come in 3 months. Earnings cannot come in 3 months.”
Now he brings a historical reference from 2003 where this has played out:
“There was no growth in the corporate sector in the stock market between 1999 and 2003. Once the markets started moving up, you got the PEs in just 6 months.”
“As long as earnings are coming, have patience. People want to sell the flowers and water the weeds. People want to sell their profitable investments and keep the loss makers. Every exit should be an independent decision.”🔥
