"Vishav Sikh Ekattarta" held on Miri Piri Divas (28 June 2023) at Anandpur Sahib was a step towards revival of Panthic tradition of collective decision making. #revivegurmata
Panthic bodies and Sikh sangat held Ardas Samagam in the memory of Shaheed Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijj@r at Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Gurbax Singh ji near Akal Takht Sahib on 1 July 2023.
Bhai Panjw@r and Bhai Nijj@r’s shahadat are political assassinations directed by the Indian state.
Here is an understanding of the situation and message to the Sangat:-
Gurmata is Khalsa Panth’s pious institution of collective decision making. Our scholars, like Bhai Vir Singh Ji, defined Gurmata as “Shiromani Jathebandi” of the Khalsa Panth.
In present times of uncertainty, increasing chaos and disturbed internal scenario, Sikhs need to revive their traditional institutions of Joint Decision Making (Gurmata) and collective leadership (Panch Pardhani).

The memory of Ghallughara June 1984 is very important for Sikhs. The state has not left any stone upturned to wash away or dilute this memory of from collective Sikh psychology but Sikhs, in accordance with their tradition, remember the first week of June every year as "Ghallughara week" and mark the memory of their great martyrs. The gallantry martyrdom of our Shaheeds will remain a source of inspiration even for our future generations.
These are times of instability. The structures built in past century are proving incapable of withstanding further. Sikhs need to build their capacities for times to come. We need to organize ourselves in accordance with Sikh tradition of Hannai-Hannai Miri at local levels. At Panthic levels we must revive Panthic practice of Joint Leadership (Panch Pardhani) and Joint decision making (Gurmata).
