Tower arc is where the story take a turn for me, Maze and Bull we're fun indeed.
And it's rare to have a discussion like this on this community which is dominated by teenagers.

And I agree that you shouldn't judge a work by its fandom; you have to separate the art from artist

It's a manga that veers straight into pure spectacle, psychological deepth is minimal in every aspects.

It doesn't change the fact that Tooru is a not very interesting antagonist.
