@StephenKing called Trump a "draft dodger." Stephen's own draft board classified him 4-F right after college: high blood pressure, limited vision, flat feet, punctured eardrums. Trump got college deferments, then a medical deferment for bone spurs, and ended up 4-F too. So who's the dodger?

I teach science, so I graded this like a lab report. Sample A: medical disqualification during Vietnam. Sample B: medical disqualification during Vietnam. Stephen looked at two identical results and wrote a different conclusion for the guy he doesn't like. In my class, that's a zero.

If 4-F makes you a draft dodger, Stephen can go stand in the corner next to Trump. If 4-F is a legitimate medical classification (it is), then he owes Trump the same courtesy he gives himself. You don't get to keep your flat feet and throw out his bone spurs. Trying to reason with him on this will be like trying to baptize a cat, but I'm a teacher, so I'll try anyway.

And look at what he was answering. Somebody made a meme of Trump in a five-star general's uniform. A Photoshop. The King of Horror saw a cartoon and decided this was the hill he'd die on. The man made a fortune writing about the monster under the bed, and the scariest thing he found this week was a mirror. Couldn't find his own rear with both hands and a map.

Nobody drafted me. I enlisted. I was an Army medic, I deployed to Iraq, and I came home medically retired. So I'll give Stephen's lecture on military service about the same weight I'd give a snollygoster's campaign promise.

No rush on the correction, Stephen. Fiction has always been your strong suit.

But what do I know, I'm only a retired medic who actually knows what 4-F means.

Claudia Bismark was a beloved artist who lived in Fells Point for more than 35 years.

She was 76.

On Tuesday she went to breakfast with her husband.

Charging documents say a man sat in the back of the deli and watched her husband pay in cash.

When they left, he went out the back door and followed them.

A few blocks later he came up from behind, knocked them both to the ground, and took a wallet with $150 in it.

Claudia died Thursday.

Her husband, Wade, was left with a concussion and facial injuries.

The man charged is Montray McCray, 32.

Prosecutors cited at least 5 prior convictions, and local reports list:

* Guns
* Drugs
* Theft
* Evading arrest
* Violating a protective order
* Retaliating against a witness
* Court documents also list him as a lifetime registered sex offender.

A lengthy criminal record.

A lifetime sex-offender registration.

And he was still free to walk into a market, pick out 2 victims over breakfast, chase them down and kill one of them.

For $150.

The judge held him without bail this time, and homicide charges are expected.

A woman paid with her life.

For $150.

Her neighbors are the ones who helped identify him.

Meanwhile, I couldn't find a word of national coverage.

Only local Baltimore news has covered it.

A former friend says she told the community she needed papers so her brother could go to school.
