#JMPD TRU officers were conducting patrols in Mofolo when they spotted a silver-grey Honda Amaze that had jumped a red traffic light. Officers stopped the vehicle at Elias Motsoaledi & Nxumalo Streets & conducted a search.

During the search, an extended magazine was found on the front passenger’s footwell. When questioned about the firearm associated with the magazine, one of the occupants informed officers that the firearm had been hidden inside the glovebox. Officers searched the glovebox & recovered a black firearm with its serial number filed off.

All three suspects were arrested & detained at Moroka SAPS. The vehicle was impounded & booked at Lenasia SAPS Pound.
