cael would nod hearing about the new seasonal flavor donuts
"Sure I would love to. Also autumn....that's like another type of weather right?"
He asked very innocently
@ParadoxFraction
“Hey Cael, since its autumn season, there’s these seasonal flavors of donuts we should try!”
Lately she’s been craving to eat some sweets fitted for the weather.
“Do you want to come with me?”
Cael blinked, mid-bite into a glazed donut, crumbs still clinging to his fingers. The strange man’s presence was… eccentric, to say the least loud colors, an aura that was both commanding and absurd, and those two unnerving attendants that made the air feel heavier somehow.
He leaned against the wall, the half-empty box of donuts resting on one arm as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
“Gotta say though, you’ve got style,” he added, eyes flicking briefly to the green boots, then to the heart-shaped watch.
Cael followed quietly, each step unsteady the earth still foreign beneath his feet. The crater behind them seemed to hum faintly, a reminder of something he didn’t understand, something that breathed in silence.
“It’s nice to meet you Cael, Im glad to see your able to move after such a rough fall.”
She was talking to him normally, like he was human, like she had no questions for him in the moment.
“Do you remember anything that happened..? Or is all you remember your name??”
He turned his head toward her, eyes faintly luminescent beneath the dim light.
“All I have is my name. And this… feeling.”
He pressed a hand to his chest, over his heart.
“Like something’s missing. Or maybe… something’s waiting.”
For a long moment, he said nothing.
The word human echoed inside his skull like a distant bell a sound too beautiful, too kind,to belong to him.
Her voice carried through the smoke, calm and warm in a way that almost hurt to hear.
So with a deep breath and a gentle gaze, Nari takes a gentle step forward.
Her hand reaches out as a sign to say ‘Don’t worry, I’m here.’
“Yes.. You’re human, you are alive, you don’t have to worry anymore…
…My name is Nari, what’s your name sir?”
For a heartbeat, he seemed almost peaceful — then the light within his arm pulsed again, faint but deliberate, like something alive had stirred inside the metal.
Cael flinched slightly,lowering his gaze.
His tone softened, barely audible.
“…And thank you for calling me human.”
