Today I came across a PostgreSQL issue where a legacy query was running slowly and CPU utilization was spiking. When I ran EXPLAIN on the query, I found it was picking the wrong index (a newly added one for another purpose).
This taught me that creating new indexes can change the behavior of existing queries.
