Big THANK YOU to all the donors!

Grateful for all your contributions and support to Ethereum Security.

And much gratitude for all the donations to LIF - https://t.co/irwGi7xl2N

Easily the most well executed QF round by a mile. Pacesetting for what is to come

[parametrig @Parametrig]

@thedaofund Thank you for the support!

Protocols need clear rules for what happens when things go wrong.

LIF by @Parametrig helps teams design credible emergency processes in advance, with defined authority, bounded actions, and recovery playbooks the community can trust.

We're honored to be selected for the Ethereum Security Quadratic Funding Round, and grateful for every contribution to LIF so far.

Incredibly thankful to @griffgreen, who put it perfectly with the home insurance example: "Insurance is clearly a huge piece of securing our space."

Analogous to home insurance, insurance works best when there are smoke detectors, no faulty wiring, and no missing locks. That baseline is the proper posture that helps prevent catastrophe in the first place.

LIF does the same for DeFi protocols. Before we can price coverage, and before a protocol can credibly say "we're prepared," we need to define what "prepared" actually looks like: monitoring, circuit breakers, emergency authority boundaries, and recovery evidence.

That's what your donations fund. Right now, we're shipping Readiness v0.1 – a public checklist and scoring rubric that protocols can use to measure their incident response posture before an exploit happens. Higher funding unlocks deeper tooling on https://t.co/MU0tI8V4WI, L2‑specific guidance, and public assessment flow for governance councils.

705+ incidents in the dataset and growing. 80% of emergency interventions were improvised. Let's make the next one different.

LIF (Legitimate Intervention Framework) is live on @Giveth for the Ethereum Security Quadratic Funding round.

LIF is an open-source project maintained by @Parametrig. It focuses on the part of security that becomes decisive before and after an exploit: incident response and emergency governance. When systems fail under time pressure, outcomes depend on who can act, what authority they have, and whether interventions are constrained and auditable.

LIF provides a public dataset of exploit and intervention cases, a framework for reasoning about response scope and authority, and practical templates for bounded emergency action and recovery playbooks.

This matters for insurance because protocols are not equally insurable. Pricing and coverage boundaries depend on the full loss stack, from pre-launch controls (audits, monitoring, circuit breakers) through bounded response and recovery, and then post-incident evidence. LIF helps make those layers explicit and comparable across incidents, so risk becomes more measurable and claims can become more legible over time.

If you want to support behind-the-scenes work that helps make @ethereum and its L2 ecosystem safer, you can back the project here https://t.co/WlggkFBXit

Support behind-the-scenes security work.

LIF improves response preparedness by giving protocols a shared vocabulary and reference base for intervention design, reducing ambiguity and governance paralysis during incidents.

Live on @Giveth for the Ethereum Security QF round!

[parametrig @Parametrig]

LIF helps protocols move from improvised emergency action to intervention designs that are constrained and auditable. It’s part of the next era of crypto security: making incident response and insurance explicit layers in the loss stack.

We just submitted LIF (Legitimate Intervention Framework) to the Ethereum Security QF round on @Giveth.

LIF is open-source public infrastructure for incident response and emergency governance in decentralized protocols.

Four eras of blockchain intervention.

This is one of the key frames from my EthCC talk. A key point is that intervention in crypto evolves.

And there will probably be a fifth era. I think this next era starts when insurance is built into the loss stack.

I'll be speaking at EthCC[9] / TERSE in Cannes.

The talk asks a simple question: when decentralized systems need emergency intervention, how do we make that power fast enough to work and constrained enough to remain legitimate?

The TERSE 2026 agenda just dropped!
It’s a glimpse into what this space could be if we optimized for understanding, not attention.

You’ll find:
→ Mechanism design grounded in real systems
→ Empirical work on incentives & human behavior
→ AI applied to DeFi risk and decision-making
→ Governance research beyond “vibes-based voting”

These aren’t talks about the future.
They’re analyses of systems that already exist, and how to make them better.
