Imagine it is a religious holiday, it is sunny, families are outside and suddenly a ballistic missile with warhead of 300-500kg equivalent of TNT strikes in the middle of the city.

This is what happened today in Chernihiv. The Taras Shevchenko theater was the target and it is obvious that Russians wanted to strike this target under these conditions in order to maximize the death toll under the citizens. So far, we have 6 dead and 42 injured, including 11 children.

This is the face of Russia.

Today, a Russian missile hit the heart of Chernihiv. A square, a university, and a theater. Russia turned an ordinary Saturday into a day of pain and loss. There are casualties. My condolences to everyone who has lost a loved one. All services are working on the site. Rescuers, police, doctors.

I urge the world to stand up to Russian terror. Provide Ukraine with additional tools to safeguard life. For life to win, Russia must lose this war.
