@TBRaysCentral Historically true. But Civale, Cruz, Snell, and sending Edwards/Chargois to Miami have all been pretty heavy whiffs. I think the org is generally good at identifying talent early and developing but the lack of production and loss of real assets on those deals is rough
@EnergyCredit1 One of the dumbest GOP talking points in recent memory… what would be interpreted initially as a power play would result in an absolute electoral bloodbath
Pence: "I cannot endorse President Trump's continuing assertion that I should have set aside my oath to support and defend the Constitution and acted in a way that would've overturned an election."
Trump's own VP won't vote for him.
Why should you?
The problem being exposed right now is that Republicans don’t have an agenda, beliefs, or even a message. All they have is Donald Trump.
They thought they could get by complaining about Biden’s age and talking about retribution. Now: no leaders & no cause. An aimless mess.
@Mat_Germain_ @facksy11 I don’t blame the Rays for making that move at all. Needed an innings-eater and they’ve worked wonders with middling starters that feature a single plus pitch. Didn’t work with Civale but the process was sound
@Mat_Germain_ @facksy11 Manzardo is undoubtedly the better bet. Obliterating AAA pitching right now. He didn’t pop when he first got the call but he didn’t play everyday and there have been very few top prospects that’ve taken off offensively upon call-up
@darby_robinson Opening day 2024 could look like this:
1. Diaz 1B
2. Lowe RF
3. Caminero DH
4. Paredes 3B
5. Lowe 2B
6. Randy LF (maybe flipped for LHB/arms)
7. Williams SS
8. Not Alex Jackson C
9. Deluca CF
McClanahan
Springs
Rasmussen
Eflin
Baz
@darby_robinson I think one of the most frustrating things as a Rays fan is accepting reset years when they hit. That’s not to say 90 wins is entirely out of the question, but it was an uphill battle to begin with with the pile of injuries to the rotation in addition to JLowe and Caminero
