The criminally inhumane bait-and-switch by @RonDeSantisFL is "only and echo of the past." The difference is now #WhiteSupremacy is in the gov's mansion, instead of the dark corners. Brilliant reporting by @gabriman. #ImmigrantsAreWelcome#MarthasVinyard

Congratulations to everyone associated with BPS on this announcement of a new contract between @BostonSchools and @BTU66. In its announcement, the BTU highlights the agreement on "Inclusion Done Right," a long-overdue plan to overhaul #SpecialEducation in Boston.
After countless hours of organizing, mobilizing and negotiating, we are pleased to share that as of this morning, BTU has reached a tentative agreement with the BPS School Committee and the City of Boston on our multi-year contract.

.@nhannahjones "If you want to understand the power of narrative, look at the power arrayed against the @The1619Project. I may be a badass, but I'm not so much of a badass that you need to legislate against my writing...When you shift narrative, you shift political power."
.@nhannahjones is giving a great talk on racism in education, sponsored by the @NellieMaeEdFdn. "The opposition to democracy thrives on chaos." It is incumbent on us all to "pick a democratic institution and defend it." Public education is one since institution under attack.
@tmwgrade1@BostonSchools@CityOfBoston@MayorWu@svilleskipper You did a great job presenting your qualifications and your passion in this process. I think it opened many eyes to the impact you have made across the District, especially in East Boston, an area that has not always gotten the attention it deserves. Congratulations!
@wheresmyporsche Happy to see that, while the apple may (and should) roll, it seems to have come to rest in proximity to the tree…at least for the moment.
Just a principal quietly tearing up in the back of the auditorium at our first musical in 2 years debuts on stage! @curleyk8#curleycares#soproud#artsinschool @BCassellius @BostonSchools This is a big moment for our community!
@universalhub As someone with the bad habit of sticking my arm into closing doors, this will make me think twice. Of course this is not supposed to be possible, but now we know that it is. Easy to imagine human error compounding mechanical error on the last train of the night.
@mathteacherjedi Thanks. I was thinking about those two things as I walked by that house yesterday. Sadly, it does compute. Feels like as good a snapshot as any of this America.
I just wrote a @theactionnet letter: Ask Mayor Wu to prioritize the home rule petition for an elected Boston School Committee. Write one here: https://t.co/5KiakxHjZr
@universalhub It’s the J-way through a business district, and people will keep getting hurt until it gets fixed. @MayorWu? Councilor Hicks? This, too, deserves attention.
Congrats to the new Boston Youth Poet Laureate
Anjalequa Leynneyah Verona Birkett (O'Bryant) and to BLS' own Ash Albert & Megan Li who were named as finalists!
