'પાટીદાર યુવકની ઘડપકડ',

'વણીક મહિલાએ ગળાફાંસો ખાધો'.

છેલ્લા કેટલાક સમયથી આપણા ગુજરાતી છાપાઓમાં વ્યક્તિની સાથે સાથે એની જ્ઞા��િ લખવાની પ્રથા શરુ થઇ છે એ સરવાળે સૌને બહુ ભારે પડવાની છે.

કોઇપણ રાષ્ટ્રને ભાંગી નાંખવુ હોય તો શિક્ષણ તો પછી આવે પણ જો વર્ગવિગ્રહ ઉભો કરો તો રાષ્ટ્ર સરળતાથી તુટી જાય.

અતિ શિક્ષિત માણસ પણ વર્ગવિગ્રહનો શિકાર જોવા મળે છે.

આ રીતે ચૂંટણી માં ખબર છપાય આ જાતિ ના આટલા ઉમેદવાર આ જ્ઞાતિ ના આટલા ઉમેદવાર શું કોઇ સમાચાર જ્ઞાતિ લખ્યા વગર ના છાપી શકાય ?

અગાઉ તો વ્યક્તિની સાથે સાથે જ્ઞાતિ લખવામાં નહોતી આવતી આ પ્રથા ખરેખર ખૂબ ખતરનાક છે સમાચાર વાંચતી વખતે કોઇપણ માણસ જ્ઞાતિનું નામ સાંભળીને લાગણીઓના પ્રવાહમાં તણાય જાય છે.

તમને જાણીને આશ્વર્ય થશે પણ સમાજને વર્ગવિગ્રહથી દૂર રાખવાની જેની જવાબદારી છે એવા શિક્ષિત લોકો પણ વ્યક્તિની સાથે જ્ઞાતિનું નામ વાંચીને વધુ ભાવુક થા��� છે. મીડિયાની નૈતિક જવાબદારી ખૂબ મોટી છે એ ખુદ મીડિયા પણ જાણે અને સમજે છે. એક જ વાક્ય જો યોગ્ય રીતે લખાય તો સમાજને વિકાસની દીશા તરફ લઇ જાય અને જો એ જ વાક્ય અયોગ્ય રીતે લખાય તો સમાજને વિનાશ તરફ પણ ખેંચી જાય.

કોઇ વ્યક્તિએ કોઇ ગુનો કર્યો હોય તો એ માત્ર ગુનેગાર છે એને કોઇ ધર્મ કે જ્ઞાતિ નથી હોતી પણ સમાચારપત્રમાં જ્યારે એ ગુનેગારના નામની આગળ ધર્મ કે જ્ઞાતિ લખાય ત્યારે ગુનેગાર હોવા છતા માત્ર જ્ઞાત���ના કારણે ગુનેગારની તરફદારી કરવા��ા બનાવો પણ વધતા જાય છે.

મીડિયા જ આના માટે દોષિત છે એવુ પણ હું નથી કહેતો કારણકે લોકોને ગમે એવુ લખાતુ હોય છે. ઘણીવખત કોઇ એક સમાચારપત્ર લખે એટલે પછી બીજા પણ લખે પરંતું સક્ષમ અને સમૃધ્ધ સમાજ માટે આવુ લખવાનું બંધ કરવાની કોઇએ તો પહેલ કરવી જ પડશે.

જો આવુ જ ચાલ્યા કર્યુ તો વર્ગવિગ્રહ એની ચરમસીમાએ પહોંચતા વાર નહિ લાગે અને વર્ગવિગ્રહની આ આગમાં આપણે બધા બળીને ખાક થઇ જશું.

હું આપને દિલથી કહુ છુ કે જ્યા���ે જ્યારે કોઇ વ્યક્તિના નામની સાથે સાથે એના સમાજ કે જ્ઞાતિનું નામ સાંકળવામાં આવે છે ત્યારે ત્યારે બહુ પીડા થાય છે.

દરેક માણસ પોતે જે જ્ઞાતિમાં જન્મયો હોય જે જ્ઞાતિ પ્રત્યે આદર કે સન્માન હોય એ સ્વાભાવિક છે પણ સમાચારોમાં નામની સાથે જ્ઞાતિ ભળે છે ત્યારે ભાવુકતા માણસને ભાન ભૂલાવી દે છે.

વ્યક્તિની ખરાબ બાબતો જ નહિ સારી બાબતોમાં પણ નામનો જ ઉલ્લેખ થવો જોઇએ જ્ઞાતિનો ઉલ્લેખ કરવાની કોઇ જ જરુર નથ��� કારણકે ખરાબ વ્યક્તિ સમગ્ર સમાજ માટેની શરમ છે અને સારી વ્યક્તિ સમગ્ર સમાજ માટેનું ગૌરવ છે.

માણસ પોતાની જ્ઞાતિ કે ધર્મને પ્રેમ કરે એમાં કોઈ વાંધો નથી પણ બીજી જ્ઞાતિ કે ધર્મને નફરત કરે ત્યારે આતંકવાદ જન્મ લે છે.

સમાજના જાગૃત નાગરીક તરીકે આપણે એક કામ ન કરી શકીએ ? આપણે સાથે મળીને પત્ર દ્વારા કે મેઇલ દ્વારા જુદા જુદા સમાચારપત્રોના તંત્રીશ્રીઓને એક આદર સાથેની અરજ કરીએ કે આપના સમાચારપત્રની ગરીમાં જાળવીને આપ વ્યક��તિની સાથે એની જ્ઞાતિ લખવાની ઉભી થયેલી પરંપરા બંધ કરવામાં સહકાર આપો. હું તો તમામ સમાચારપત્રોના તંત્રીને પત્ર લખીને વિનંતી કરવાનો છું આપ ઇચ્છો તો આપ પણ આ કાર્ય કરીને આપની લાગણી એમના સુધી પહોંચાડી શકો.
