@TotagiR @IceCandyGopalaa Why should Karnataka prioritize Hindi? Who told you not to learn other languages? Learn Hindi, or any language you like-no one cares. The issue is imposition, not learning languages. If linguistic states were such a stupid idea, why has India kept them for over 70 years?

Much needed in Bengaluru right now. I don’t understand why Hindi is being used in Karnataka. It’s just common sense not to write it in Hindi, as it’s another state’s language. I never see Kannada or Tamil used on public signs in North India. #HindiImposition #Kannada #southindia

You’re defending the right to speak Hindi. I’m defending Karnataka’s right to prioritize Kannada. Those are not the same argument my friend.

@TotagiR @IceCandyGopalaa In Karnataka, Kannada is enough for everyday communication. For interstate communication, English works just fine. So why do we need Hindi? Do we need Hindi to live and work in Karnataka?. If you want you learn Hindi, Bengali, Chinese, Japanese, French etc.

@TotagiR @IceCandyGopalaa Kannada is Karnataka’s language. The Tulu, kodavas speakers in Karnataka they speak Kannada in public and Tulu as their mother tongue. Karnataka is already linguistically rich. No need to impose Hindi here. If Hindi is your state’s language, use it there.

@sahil__0004 ₹100 crore was a minor welfare allocation, while Karnataka spends over ₹38K crore on education, including Kannada schools. Also, the people opposing Hindi imposition are Kannada activists and citizens not politicians. Stop making false comparisons and don’t bring politics.
