Out on patrol with @ParkguardLtd alongside @CllrLynneHale Hale, Cabinet Member for Homes, and Cllr Robert Ward @moguloilman on two of our housing estates.
We checked areas where a stash of cannabis bags was recently found hidden in undergrowth, issued ASB warning notices to a man and a woman who claimed they were seeking “comfort” in a bin chamber, and were later shown a drug den operating from a Council garage near a local school.
We are already seeing results. Residents are telling us they can see the difference, and these patrols are disrupting anti-social behaviour.
Parkguard are reporting issues directly to the Council and we will take action. Where garages or other spaces are being misused, we will move to shut them down.
This zero-tolerance approach is about helping provide reassurance for residents and businesses.
I was pleased to meet @ParkguardLtd our accredited Community Safety Officers, and see first-hand the role they are playing across the borough.
Working alongside the Council and police, they are already patrolling housing estates and will also be active in the town centre and Thornton Heath.
Uniformed and equipped with body-worn video cameras, they:
• Patrol identified hotspots and carry out joint patrols with police
• Issue ASB warning notices and use their accredited powers where necessary
• Gather intelligence and build evidence to support enforcement action
• Support welfare referrals and longer-term housing solutions
This forms part of our zero-tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour – this is about visible presence, professional standards and sustained action to keep Croydon safer and cleaner. @CllrLynneHale@MrOlaKolade
Great to see joint patrols between @MPSRedbridge & our Council-funded @ParkguardLtd officers.
Working together to keep our parks amongst the safest in London!
Thanks to @ParkguardLtd@IslingtonBC and our friends at the Ecology Centre for assisting us with a joint weapon sweep inside Gillespie Park. We will continue to patrol and target the park for ASB and drug use
@th_crime_watch@TowerHamletsNow@CllrSirajIslam @CllrMarcFrancis Not for Tower Hamlets Council, we do for other housing providers in the Borough. But with 22,000 homes owned by THC, it means that a significant area within the Borough would not have access to our services.
Officers are out on a joint operation tomorrow with @ParkguardLtd around Hanwell Broadway between 12PM and 9PM targeting Dean's Road, Old Hanwell, Fox Meadows and all other locations wirh ASB. Please flag us down if needed, or call anything you see into 101.
Mildmay Ward officers have been working alongside @ParkguardLtd and @MPSHillrise to conduct additional patrols and weapon sweeps in the area. Over 8 knives and weapons have been found so far and removed from our streets.
#MyLocalMET#SaferNeighbourhoods#StaySafe
As part of the #NeighbourhoodPolicingWeek action plan officers alongside @ParkguardLtd will be patrolling local parks and estates in order to deter, detect and prevent ASB.
Please flag us down if you need assistance.
