@hegelpill@187THELEFT@CardioFixer And not exactly true. Minimum fine in Texas is $500. $2500 is the maximum but we haven’t seen a single instance of that being imposed anywhere.
@187THELEFT@CardioFixer The minimum fine for a first offense in Texas is $500 (has been for more than a decade). Towing is not prescribed in the law but can be ordered by the property owner. But that sort of punitive approach does not change behavior. Reporting using the Parking Mobility App…
@StanleyRoberts That’s why we developed the Parking Mobility App. It’s free, easy, effective, nonconfrontational and developed and run by people with disabilities.
@nickmlittlejohn If the vehicle isn’t in an accessible parking space how is the placard being misused? Please direct specific questions to [email protected]
@BlueSpotVIP I’ve been trying to speak to someone from this organization but emails, messages and phone calls are left unanswered. Please provide a contact person for https://t.co/0C47uaCTAF or message me directly.
@CabbagesHusband@suvaii@nickmlittlejohn@LoewyLawFirm This sort of confrontational bullying and bluffing are precisely why the program exists. Don’t bother giving this keyboard warrior the attention he obviously craves.
@suvaii@CabbagesHusband@nickmlittlejohn@LoewyLawFirm Don’t know the case specifically so can’t possibly speak to it.Some of the CA’s are quick to dismiss valid cases for whatever reason, doesn’t mean an infraction didn’t occur. I’m sure your client will repeat offend and we’ll get chance to educate them.
@suvaii@CabbagesHusband@nickmlittlejohn@LoewyLawFirm Our volunteers and the relevant law have been ‘on the stand’. Too bad you or your client weren’t given the opportunity to take the offender education course. It truly changes behavior.
@tiddiesuk Shaming doesn’t work to address the problem. But using the Parking Mobility app does. It’s free, effective, nonconfrontational and developed and run by people with disabilities.
@nrallan@AldiUK This is why we developed the Parking Mobility App. It puts the power of increased enforcement and behavior change education into your hands. No need for someone else to do it.
@themilnerd If all parking is blocked off in an area then yes, blocking accessible spaces is allowable. If a venue used accessible spaces for an event it is advisable to provide replacement spaces (even if temporary) at the closest spaces possible.
