A Major Snowstorm Condition has been declared in Toronto. Parking on roads designated as snow routes is prohibited.
This helps City crews clear and remove snow piles that obstruct traffic flow, interfere with pedestrians and parking and block sightlines. Emergency service vehicles rely on clear roads to respond quickly to emergencies.
⚠️ Vehicles parked on snow routes may be fined up to $500 and will be towed at the owner’s expense if the vehicle is blocking snow clearing or transit.
A list and map of snow routes are available here:: https://t.co/D7UsmnX7Oo
The Toronto Police Association extends its support to the @ParkingTPS Enforcement Officer who was assaulted on duty last night when issuing a parking infraction.
During the interaction, the individual receiving the ticket became confrontational and physically assaulted the officer, resulting in minor lacerations. Our officer was treated at the hospital and, thankfully, recovered. The suspect was subsequently charged.
The TPA condemns all acts of violence against public servants performing their lawful duties. Members of the public are reminded that any parking infraction dispute should be addressed in court. Assaulting an officer is never the answer and no infraction is worth receiving a criminal charge.
🚸📚 Back to school means back to school-zone enforcement.
Our focus:
✔️ No stopping zones
✔️ Crosswalks
✔️ Fire routes
✔️ Accessible parking
These rules exist to keep students safe—especially during drop-off and pick-up.

#DowntownRushHour - there are so many private and public places to park that are close to the rush-hour routes - a few bucks to pay for a parking spot is nothing compared to a $300 ticket and having your vehicle impounded - 👉 https://t.co/Q3juiZClYi - congestion management project #Toronto #RushHour ^bm
#DowntownRushHour - on Richmond Street #Toronto seems like a legitimate construction closure. Conversation with the foreman reveals no permit - no construction happening on the road - just a convenient place to park. Charged and removed off the rush-hour route ^bm - congestion management project underway.
Rush hour restrictions are in effect. Vehicles blocking signed no-stopping zones may be ticketed ($300) and towed. Help keep Toronto’s roads moving and emergency routes clear. #TPS#TorontoTraffic#VisionZero

We’re running an enforcement blitz until June 27 targeting drivers who stop in designated ‘No Stopping Zones’. By disobeying the rules, you’re disrupting traffic flows, contributing to congestion & making our roads less safe. Your vehicle can be ticketed & towed by @TorontoPolice.
Two of our Parking Enforcement Officers were assaulted in April while doing their jobs. We are Peace Officers. Assault us, and you will be charged. Don’t turn a parking ticket into a criminal record. @TPS_BikeHart#Toronto#PublicSafety#RespectAEachOther
🚴♂️💨 Every time a bike lane is obstructed, it puts vulnerable road users in danger. Whether you’re stopping for “just a minute” or making a delivery, the rule is the same: Bike lanes are 🚫🛑 NO STOPPING zones.. #BikeTO 3x $200 tickets served @ParkingTPS
