Today is Aug. 9. The day the US dropped the atom bomb on Nagasaki, Japan. We wept.

The first was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, on Aug. 6. We wept.

The last 'one' was dropped on the Election Commission of India on Aug. 7. Some were awed. Some guffawed. I slept.

August is an ominous month. August is us.
