FCRA: Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act

➜ Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) is the law that governs how Indian individuals, associations, NGOs, trusts and companies may receive and use money, securities or articles sent to them from a source outside India. It is administered by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)

➜ #FCRA does three things:

💠 It identifies who may accept foreign contributions, and on what conditions.

💠 It specifies how that money must be received, accounted for, and reported.

💠 It restricts a narrow, defined set of foreign-funded activities that could affect India’s sovereignty, security or public order.

➜ FCRA establishes a clear, rules-based process for every organisation that wishes to receive foreign contributions in India

The Modi govt has several low hanging fruits to get some visible on-ground stuff done. It baffles me why they don't get serious about it.
1. Urban infra - just sorting out garbage collection and sewage in say, 40-50 model cities. No swachh Bharat nonsense. Like Gurgaon is filthy! Sort it out.
2. Make grants available for building parks/public spaces in every city/town above half a million people.
3. Make public transport accessible by adding more buses on each route everywhere. Buy a few 10s of thousands of buses.
4. Build some affordable housing under PMAY-Urban FFS! Learn from CIDCO.
5. Increase the allocation for mid-day meals. Don't care about eggs or not. Just a fruit and milk carton to take home.

નંદિનીએ તેના પિતાને જે છેલ્લો મેસેજ મોકલ્યો એમાં લખ્યું કે અસલમે તેના ઘરેણાં સુદ્ધાં ગીરવે મૂકી દીધા છે. અસલાંના અત્યાચારથી તે જિંદગી સામે હારી ગઈ છે.

જોકે અસલમ પ્રત્યેના પ્રેમમાં નંદિની પરિવારની પણ વિરુદ્ધ ગઈ અને એક બાળકનો પિતા હોવા છતાં અસલમ સાથે રહેવા લાગી હતી.

નંદિનીનું માત્ર શારીરિક શોષણ કરવા ઈચ્છતો હતો અસલમ,
એટલે જ શારીરિક સંબંધોથી બાળક ના થાય એટલા માટે નંદિનીનું ગર્ભાશય પણ કઢાવી નાંખ્યું હતું.

Indian-origin Rushabh Patel gave his life saving two strangers in the UK.

28-year-old Rushabh was enjoying a picnic with his wife Mili and 18-month-old daughter Vrumi when he saw two people struggling in the water near Milton Keynes.

Without hesitation, he jumped in to save them. Rushabh suffered a cardiac arrest during the rescue and tragically passed away days later.

Even in death, he saved 5 more lives through organ donation.

Yet don't expect this story to dominate global headlines. Acts of extraordinary courage by Indians rarely receive the same attention that anti-India narratives do.
