A lot of people are dragging Sydney Sweeney for the poor box office this weekend — and I do think that there are legitimate things to criticise Sweeney over, truly — but let’s not forget that Christy Martin is a real person, whose then-husband tried to murder her when she tried to leave him after years of abuse.

And i am SAD that Christy and her survival is being overshadowed here by Sydney’s controversies.

It’s really disappointing and I fear that Hollywood is going to take the wrong message from this and decide that these stories aren’t worth telling which can’t be further from the truth.
