@guardian Only the biggest story going: that the Basic Party is on a mission to put the word 'simplicity' back into the word 'politics'. If this makes perfect sense to you, vote #Basic at the #GeneralElection2019#SimplyPolitics
@Independent The Basic Party would get rid of inequalities just by saying everyone is equal. Simple. No gimmicks, no policies, just words. If that's a world you want to live in, vote #Basic#SimplyPolitics
@Independent The Basic Party pledges to get rid of handrails altogether. This way, nobody can be arrested for not using one. Simple.
Vote #Basic.

@CarolineLucas@TheGreenParty The Basic Party doesn't believe in crossing things out when we've made a mistake. If we did, we'd be crossing things out all the time lol! We believe in being honest about when we've got things wrong, popping the kettle on and getting back to business. #simplypolitics
@guardian The Basic Party has only ever had one favourite stage: the political stage. Our aim is to make politics simple again. No flashy lights, no twist at the end, no actors talking in weird accents or plotlines nobody understands. Just good old fashioned basic politics.
The Basic Party has three aims and pledges:
1. To be a simple political party with basic aims and pledges
2. To ensure our aims and pledges are easy to understand in terms of how we talk about them and write about them and stuff
3. To make the university of life a real thing
@Channel4News @GaryGibbonBlog At the Basic Party we don't believe in 'winning people over'. It's a confusing phrase with too many letters. We believe in keeping things simple in terms of everything to do with politics. If this sounds sensible to you, vote #basic at the #GeneralElection19
@Independent The Basic Party has only ever had one favourite word: simplicity.
It's time to put the word 'simplicity'' back into the word 'politics'. If you agree, vote #Basic at the #GeneralElection19 and let's make this country easy to understand again.
@guardian We don't believe in fracking at the Basic Party. At best, it's silly, and at worst, it's a complicated made up word. We believe in simple words and simple ideas such as 'let's get things done' and '๐'.
If you like the sound of that, follow us today. #SimplyPolitics
@Independent We don't believe in 'seats' at the Basic Party. They're too confusing and there are too many of tjem. We believe in keeping politics simple. If you like the sound of that, join us today. #SimplyPolitics#GeneralElection19

@guardian We don't believe in leaflets at the Basic Party. Politics has become too reliant on words, reports, written policies and yes, leaflets. Here at the Basic Party we believe in good old fashioned simplicity. You can't go wrong with that. Vote #Basic at the #GeneralElection19
'Get Brexit Done' might seem like a simple slogan but we don't think @BorisJohnson has thought it through. Surely it would be better to do away with slogans altogether and just have simple, basic emojis?
@Independent The Basic Party understands the difference between words.
Our position on words is clear: there are a great many of them and many of them are different.
Follow the Basic Party and let's put the word 'simplicity' back into the word 'politics'
