#WATCH | AIIMS ट्रॉमा सेंटर की हेड माइक्रोबायोलॉजिस्ट डॉ. पूर्वा माथुर ने चेताया कि एंटीबायोटिक्स के बढ़ते दुरुपयोग से ड्रग रेजिस्टेंस तेजी से बढ़ रही है। इसका असर यह है कि सामान्य संक्रमणों का इलाज भी मुश्किल होता जा रहा है और इससे लंबे समय में गंभीर स्वास्थ्य जोखिम पैदा हो रहे हैं।

इससे पहले ‘मन की बात’ कार्यक्रम में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र म���दी ने भी नागरिकों से स्वयं दवा लेने से बचने और केवल डॉक्टर की सलाह पर ही एंटीबायोटिक्स के इस्तेमाल की अपील की थी। उन्होंने ICMR के निष्कर्षों का हवाला देते हुए बताया कि एंटीबायोटिक्स की प्रभावशीलता लगातार कम हो रही है, जो सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य के लिए चिंता का विषय है।
