Pope St. Pius V, in the Apostolic Constitution Quo Primum (July 14, 1570).

He promulgated the revised Roman Missal (the Tridentine form of the Roman Rite, commonly called the Traditional Latin Mass) and ordered its use throughout the Latin Church (with limited exceptions for rites already in continuous use for at least 200 years). Key passages from standard English translations of the bull state:

• It is unlawful “henceforth and forever” to sing or read Masses according to any other formula than that of this Missal.

• By the present Constitution, “which shall have the force of law in perpetuity,” nothing is to be added to, omitted from, or altered in the Missal.

• “We grant and concede in perpetuity” that this Missal “may freely and lawfully be used” without scruple of conscience or fear of penalty.

• The present document “can never be revoked or modified, but shall forever remain valid and always stand in its full force.”

To wives he writes:

“And on your part, wives, do you love the husbands God has given you tenderly, heartily, but with a reverential, confiding love, for God has made the man to have the predominance, and to be the stronger; and He wills the woman to depend upon him,—bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh,—taking her from out the ribs of the man, to show that she must be subject to his guidance. All Holy Scripture enjoins this subjection, which nevertheless is not grievous; and the same Holy Scripture, while it bids you accept it lovingly, bids your husband to use his superiority with great tenderness, lovingkindness, and gentleness.”

To husbands he writes:

“Therefore, husbands, do you preserve a tender, constant, hearty love for your wives. It was that the wife might be loved heartily and tenderly that woman was taken from the side nearest Adam’s heart. No failings or infirmities, bodily or mental, in your wife should ever excite any kind of dislike in you, but rather a loving, tender compassion; and that because God has made her dependent on you, and bound to defer to and obey you; and that while she is meant to be your helpmeet, you are her superior and her head.”

So you seem to want to do a ‘dueling popes’ exercise.

St. Leo XIII warned us about changing teachings. Also Vatican I said the same:

First Vatican Council (Pastor Aeternus):
“The Holy Spirit was not promised to the successors of Peter that by His revelation they might make known new doctrine, but that by His assistance they might inviolably keep and faithfully expound the revelation or deposit of faith delivered through the ages.”

As much as I love St. John Paul he is well known for trying to change several teachings of the Church that had survived for over a millennium.

You can find many dozens of teachings on that subject from popes and saints that contradict that statement of St. John Paul.

As for me, I believe the eternal magisterium of the Church and not novelties that have formed the crux of the current crisis in our Church.
