Mum came home with some Gola..that cost £40!! …I broke her heart (she was a cleaner and dinner lady) I said ‘I’m sorry mum I just can’t wear Gola at school the lads will rip me mercilessly’ - so she got me Patrick boots which were acceptable.
Mum died in my early 20’s
