@Guadango Would love to actually see a study on this. I’m not really sure if I 100% agree with this. It’s not the best way to get faster and won’t get you as fast as possible but I believe it would still get athletes faster
@MJGold One main reason is that it is more exciting to watch athletes compete against other at the same time to see who beat who and by how much. There is anticipation at the start and you can see progression throughout a race. The ‘one at a time’ events lack that excitement
@MJGold There are too many events and many great athletes that don’t compete against each other until the Olympics. Tough to sell rivalries and tell stories when the top athletes aren’t competing against each other consistently
