Intracytoplasmic mucin vacuoles give away this lung tumor. Although this finding is sufficient to justify the diagnosis of adenocarcinoma, confirmatory TTF-1 immunostain was positive.

@Dermpathl Oh yes it can happen all over the Americas, it was first described by Alejandro Posadas in Buenos Aires after all ๐ I trained in NY so we donโt see them that often either, which I why I couldnโt miss the opportunity to photograph such good morphology
@MdTushir Ferruginous & asbestos bodies are not interchangeable. Ferruginous body is any fiber that gets iron deposits around, one can only call it asbestos body if the core is clear. So while an asbestos body is a ferruginous body, not all ferruginous bodies are asbestos bodies ๐ค
