एक लड़के ने ���ताया कि वह अपने परिवार को ट्रेन में बैठाने के लिए महाराष्ट्र के कल्याण रेलवे स्टेशन गया था। ट्रेन दोपहर 12 बजे की थी लेकिन बाद में बताया गया कि वह 2 बजे आएगी।

लड़के ने प्लेटफॉर्म टिकट ले लिया था और परिवार के साथ इंतजार करता रहा। लेकिन ट्रेन लगातार लेट होती रही। शाम करीब 5 बजे वह परिवार को ट्रेन में बैठाकर वापस जाने लगा

तभी टीटी ने उसे रोक लिया और प्लेटफॉर्म टिकट दिखाने को कहा। उसने टिकट दिखाया तो टीटी ने कहा कि प्लेटफॉर्म टिकट 2 घंटे बाद एक्सपायर हो जाता है। इसके बाद उस पर 500 रुपये का जुर्माना लगा दिया!

वीडियो में लड़के ने सवाल उठाया कि जब ट्रेन रेलवे की वजह से कई घंटे लेट हुई थी तो उसके इंतजार की जिम्मेदारी कौन लेगा??

उसने कहा कि उसने परिवार को छोड़ने के लिए वैध प्लेटफॉर्म टिकट लिया था, फिर भी उसे जुर्माना भरना पड़ा!

ये भी सवाल जायज है कि जब देरी रेलवे की तरफ से हुई थी तो उसकी सजा यात्री को क्यों मिली..?

Police have arrested this cook who was preparing food in the kitchen of Hotel Flourish Stays, where the fire reportedly started.

Next, they should arrest the vegetable, grocery, and dairy suppliers. Had they not supplied ingredients that day, there would have been no cooking and no fire.

After that, they should arrest the farmers who grew the vegetables, the factory owners who produced the grocery items, and the cows that gave the milk.

Sabko pakad lena. Kisi ko mat chhodna. Except, of course, the officials whose job it was to inspect such establishments and flag safety violations before a tragedy occurred.

Gurugram-based Vivek Agarwal and seven of his family members were staying at Hotel Flourish Stays because Vivek's father was undergoing treatment in the ICU at the nearby Max Hospital.

All eight died. Entire family wiped out!

And now the ritual begins, ₹4 lakh compensation, an inquiry, promises of strict action. None of it matters now.

These were not accidental deaths. They were preventable deaths caused by greed, negligence, and a complete collapse of accountability. If the hotel owners had even a shred of conscience, if the officials responsible for inspections and enforcement had done their jobs honestly instead of looking the other way, this family might still be alive.

The hotel Flourish Stays in Malaviya Nagar, where the fire incident has killed 21 people so far, had permission for only 6 rooms but was operating 25. It didn't have fire safety clearance either.

No surprises. I'm sure 90% of hotels operate like this. MCD knows, they come for inspections, take their cut, and leave. It's only after such tragedies that these irregularities make the news.

Will the police arrest any MCD officials responsible for ensuring that hotels operate as per the norms? No way. They'll probably arrest the hotel's restaurant cooking staff because the fire apparently started in the kitchen.

Visit the areas of Delhi where ordinary poor people live and then visit the areas where VIPs live. It will feel as if they are two different worlds.

In the areas where poor working people live, there is often inadequate water supply, unreliable electricity, piles of garbage, narrow lanes, and poor management.

In contrast, VIP areas have most facilities, but even there, pollution exists and clean air is not guaranteed.

That is why these questions should be asked to Prime Minister Modi.

People who throw trash into these bins after reading the labels probably feel they are contributing to sanitation efforts by waste segregation. But it seems the sanitation system itself doesn't care.

The same thing often happens with door-to-door waste collection. There are still some conscientious people who segregate their waste at home and hand it over separately, only to discover that the "wet" and "dry" sections of the collection vehicle are merely labels. Everything gets dumped together and disposed of as mixed waste anyway.

As per media reports, Nitin Gadkari has announced an ethanol-based stove technology using a blend of 7% ethanol in water, claiming it can generate cooking flames at a cost lower than LPG.

He has not yet explained the science behind it publicly, and I could not find a technical explanation either. What I do know is that ethanol can be used as a cooking fuel, but usually at very high concentrations (around 90–95% or more). Even then, ethanol carries less energy per litre than LPG and generally needs more storage space for the same amount of cooking.

As a layman in Chemistry, my understanding is that a 7% ethanol-in-water mixture is going to be a very poor fuel. Water does not burn, so only 7% of the liquid is actually fuel. A large part of the heat produced could end up heating and evaporating the remaining water instead of contributing to cooking. On the face of it, such a dilute mixture would be expected to produce a far weaker and less efficient flame than concentrated ethanol or LPG, unless some additional technology or process is involved that has not yet been explained by Mr Gadkari.
