All set up at the 2025 PSG meeting @PacificSeabirds in Costa Rica.
Looking forward to meeting many of our existing and future customers.
Come and talk to us about our new picoFix technology and see the world's smallest seabird GPS tag at just 0.8g!
Super excited to have deployed the first new GPS-Acc @pathtrackltd loggers. Finally a busy night. Had great help of MSc Jitse to tag four recaptures and two new females! #nightjar#ornithology
How do you follow breeding outcomes in shy, cryptic species? Quantum theory of ecology (can’t see them without affecting behaviour) in breeding #Curlew can be circumvented with careful use of good quality GPS tag data (hint: lots of regular locations!) thanks @pathtrackltd !
Grey rocket plover! One of the 20 birds tagged last night with @pathtrackltd and @HQXSCN gps devices. Curious to see how these #waders explore #Tagus estuary in the next months. Ready for the next round!

Where do #whimbrel breeding in the Northwest fjords of Iceland spend the rest of the year?
Map below shows the movement of 3 individuals between 2021 & 2022. Routes are very similar to those breeding in the South (see our profile header image).

Winter is coming... And so do our waders!
We already have everything ready for them:
- Tags from @pathtrackltd ✅
- Antennas are set in some of the most important roosts in Tagus✅
- Motivation 💪✅
Only missing the coolest part -> Capture Waders
Stay tuned!

The first GPS track of a Storm-petrel from the Faroe Islands - super exciting to have finally managed this after a lot of hard work from all involved!!! A south-east foraging foray towards Shetland over 2 days, reaching 160km at its furthest point. #biologging#seabirdresearch
