I could tweet something irrational about how I'm done with this team, but here's the sad thing I've slowly realized: I've been done with them for a while now.
I've been at the ballpark for a grand total of 3 innings this season. The only full game I went to was in Minnesota. I've been to 3 total games over the last 2 seasons. I haven't even turned on a game since June and the same thing happened last year. And it's not some designed boycott, it's just, well, how little I care anymore.
It's sad to realize that a team that once meant so much to my family is now just an afterthought. Maybe the excitement will return some day, but I sincerely doubt that happens until there is new ownership that actually gives the fans a reason to care.
Peoples crying bout burning coal, but not the poor souls whose digging it.
I reckon there's been a many good man in the grave trying to keep our houses lit. Down in the oil fields, the pipelines, the linemen, the coal mines. So we can sit at home and plug in new fangled bullshit.
Oh Lord. Robbie Robertson, co-founder of The Band, inventors of Americana roots #music and a huge influence on everyone from @BobDylan to @GratefulDead, is dead at 80. https://t.co/0YdRoATI3C
If you think your team is a dumpster fire, just remember that things could always be worse. You could be a White Sox fan. Even if this story isn't true, it's still pretty bad over there. https://t.co/XKqn1T55cm
