@BethNY@AgingNY@liveonny In Rochester the budget came up with 18 Million for an inter-modal train/bus facility but the long waiting list for non-medicare home and community based services went without funds. An opportunity to have a far more substatanial impact on the health and lives of people is lost.
@BidensWins Apocalyptic Donald needs hyperbole because it is the only part of the English language that he excels at on a daily basis. Try striving for accuracy at the risk of truth.
@BethNY At a time where leaders are looking for cost savings ignoring support for caregivers is penny wise and dollar foolish. Hard not to see that by keeping people in their homes is saving dollars.
@BethNY We live in a sad moment when recorded history is denied and created stories are validated as true. There is a maxim that those who fail to learn from historical facts are doomed to repeat actions. This holiday season, regardless of which faith is followed, all ought pray for peace
@CRMedia_Vatican Fidelity seems to be a lost art. Pope Francis is called to service. In a better world we would value Faith over personal certitude. With as much respect as I can muster I would council Bishop Strictland wisdom my Mother offered me, "If you can say nothing good silence is best."
@BethNY Learning our history in its glory including its warts and faults is the path to raising up a people who strive for the "we," in our Constitution more than the, "me," of the current moment. The great experiment has to have the ability to be self critical and affirming.
@AntiToxicPeople@gtconway3d President Trump, Would you do all of us a favor and shut up. Your repeated false claims grow more lame with each new post. You claim you intend to make America great again, ending your rhetoric would go a long way to accomplishing that goal. Thank you
@BethNY@rontkim@Charlesdfall@stefanizinerman@AARPNY An example of why many older NYers feel that some elected officials are lacking in a compassionate response to the needs of Seniors who have contributed so much to society and deserve respect and support for compassionate care in their later days.
With a whopping 31% increase in the 65+ in NYS. Time for a NYS Budget that reflects their needs. Policymakers 'attention must be paid'- and $'s too! @AARPNY@nycfuture@jbowlesnyc
