@darenw@MLB Very cool post. Suggestion from the esteemed Kellan from Miami: post one a day, just the outline, no clues. See how many you can get correct.
@SeanGrandePBP My wife and I here from PA tonight. Was at the Sixers comeback last year. Now tonight. During halftime, "don't worry. Grande will have some data to show you how much of an outlier this was..." You did. Go Celts.
@_dadler David, great article. The way MLB incorporates other data-centric media in articles reads so natural. Job well done and I'd say that even if I was not a biased Yankee fan...
@mike_petriello Radio consumer here. Specifically John and Suz for NYY. For long time listeners, it was noticeable in my opinion (in a good way). Perhaps just an outfall of the medium. And Yanks Giants coming in at 2 hours 33 minutes? Great start. More please.
@JoePompliano That's really interesting. But for Tampa, I'd guess that that bottom 5 (smallest scoreboards) would rank very high on a lot of fan's "favorite stadiums".
@CodifyBaseball@CodifyBaseball I've been thinking about this since I saw your post. Why do you think this is? I can't figure out why there would be ~ no difference in opposite field balls in play but ~45% reduction in HR? I'd guess pull side HR are showing an increase over same period. Odd.
@SMB_Attorney Have coached a few hundred youth games across multiple sports. One suggestion for the youngest kids: bring a whistle. Kids will have no idea what's going on but they will stop on the whistle! Good luck.
