Saudi Arabia Reportedly Offers Houthis $1 BILLION in Iran-Brokered Peace Deal
Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman reportedly traveled to Tehran to negotiate an END to Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.
Gulf diplomatic sources claim Riyadh would transfer $1 BILLION through Iran, with one source alleging the money arrived aboard a Saudi military aircraft.
Saudi officials have NOT confirmed this yet.
Bertrand Russell once gave a lecture on AI safety. He described how researchers evaluate models inside controlled sandboxes, using simulated tools and honeypots to detect dangerous behavior.
At the end, a little old lady stood up.
“What you’ve told us is rubbish. Your sandbox is a backdoored honeypot.”
Russell smiled. “And what do you suppose is running the honeypot?”
“Another backdoored honeypot.”
“But what’s running that one?”
“You’re very clever, young man, very clever,” said the old lady. “But it’s backdoored honeypots all the way down.”
Marian Croak deserves so much more recognition

A Monday with good news? Surely this must be false! ;-) Maybe they can hijack stock trading accounts and sell stuff at a loss. Disrupt the markets. That would be highly amusing.
🚨 BREAKING: Hackers are BYPASSING Microsoft 365 MFA, hijacking corporate accounts, and secretly replacing victims' authentication methods to maintain access.
97 accounts compromised across 79 organizations. In some cases, attackers took over sessions in just 12 MINUTES.
And now, researchers have separately exposed a critical flaw in Microsoft Authenticator that allowed malicious apps to steal login tokens with ZERO permissions.
Microsoft's authentication security is facing two serious threats, and one is already being exploited in the wild.
Here's what's happening:
🔴 1. MICROSOFT 365 ACCOUNTS HIJACKED IN THE WILD
Cybersecurity researchers at Huntress uncovered a widespread token-replay attack campaign targeting Microsoft 365.
The numbers are alarming:
→ 200,000+ failed login attempts observed.
→ 497 successful sign-in events.
→ 97 compromised accounts across 79 organizations.
→ 48 rogue devices registered inside Microsoft Entra environments.
→ 19 organizations had victims' MFA methods removed and replaced.
Attackers used sophisticated phishing techniques to capture legitimate authentication tokens AFTER victims completed MFA.
They then replayed those tokens to access Microsoft 365 without another authentication challenge.
But it gets worse.
Once inside, attackers registered their OWN authenticator apps and devices to maintain persistent access.
They also created hidden email rules to intercept or delete messages involving payroll, banking, and direct deposits.
In one case, attackers hijacked a session just 12 MINUTES after the victim reached the MFA prompt and registered their own authenticator less than an hour later.
Changing your password alone may NOT remove the attacker.
🔴 2. CRITICAL MICROSOFT AUTHENTICATOR TOKEN THEFT FLAW
In a separate discovery, researchers at Enclave exposed CVE-2026-80097 (CVSS 8.6), a vulnerability allowing malicious Android apps to steal Microsoft authentication tokens.
→ ZERO Android permissions required.
→ No password required.
→ No additional MFA prompt.
→ Malicious apps could impersonate Microsoft Teams.
→ Stolen tokens could provide access to corporate email, files, calendars, and sensitive account functionality.
The underlying flaw? Microsoft Authenticator trusted an application's claimed identity without properly verifying the actual caller.
Microsoft has since patched this vulnerability.
These are TWO separate security issues, with no confirmed connection between them.
But they expose the same dangerous reality:
🚨 MFA ALONE IS NO LONGER ENOUGH TO STOP ATTACKERS WHO CAN STEAL OR REPLAY AUTHENTICATION TOKENS.
And businesses relying entirely on MFA for protection may have a serious blind spot.

@Forbes An utter waste of time. Have professional prosecutors investigate and prosecute.
Congress needs to extract us from wars, forgive student loans, make abortion accessible across the US, and create a real health care system for all, among other things.

I took about 50,000 photos through a 14" telescope last night to produce this: A hyper-detailed photo of the full moon. The fidelity of the photo was great enough to allow me to greatly enhance the color, revealing a hidden world of geological diversity.
Sometimes, bringing your aging parents into your home and hiring a qualified nurse to help care for them can be more affordable than paying for a nursing home.
But beyond the money, there's something deeply meaningful about allowing the people who raised you to spend their later years surrounded by family, familiar faces, and love.
Imagine working your entire life to build a home, only to spend your final years somewhere unfamiliar, surrounded by strangers.
Of course, not every family has the space, resources, or ability to provide full-time care at home. Some people genuinely need professional facilities, and there's no shame in that.
But when families can make it work, caring for elderly parents at home can help preserve family bonds, protect shared resources, and keep more of what generations worked hard to build within the family.
"mathematically prove" = given some set of assumptions, X is true.
Correlation to reality is not required, hence OpenAI, Dario, and the legion of doom prophets.
Telephones were going to bring classical music performances into homes. You know how that worked out.
Researchers mathematically proved that AI will destroy the middle class.
They published a terrifying paper modeling what happens to the global economy when artificial general intelligence fully scales.
Most people think agi just means a smarter chatbot, better coding assistants, or some temporary job displacement. this paper argues that the fundamental laws of macroeconomics are about to flip forever.
Here is the mindblowing part..
In the AGI era, human labor will no longer drive economic growth. at all.
Your salary will no longer be determined by your time, your university degree, or the scarcity of your skills. instead, your wage will be priced strictly by the cost of the gpu compute required to replicate your output.
If an AI agent running on a server can do your daily tasks for $2 in compute and electricity, your labor value is mathematically capped at $2.
This paper outlines a terrifying economic mechanism where "labor income converges to zero."
it suggests that if 50% of the human workforce just stopped going to work tomorrow, global gdp wouldn't drop a single percentage point.
In fact, the economy would continue to grow exponentially because compute, algorithms, and energy will have fully replaced human labor as the ultimate engine of production.
we are watching the death of the traditional economy in real-time..
Society is transitioning from being built on "human capital" to being based entirely on "compute capital." if your skills are easily simulated by a cluster of gpus, your economic leverage is completely gone.
humans are basically being priced out of their own economic system by silicon.
this is a formal, peer-reviewed economic model from Yale predicting the absolute end of trading time for money.
When will so-called #AI incorporate non-Western literature and data?
For all of the investment in massive compute, it still looks like Western masturbation.
Rsearchers proved anyone with a $600 amazon dish can intercept half the world’s satellite internet traffic.
They published a terrifying paper that exposes massive, unencrypted hole in global communications.
we have always assumed intercepting satellites requires state-level intelligence gear..
But this paper proved otherwise.
they built a fully automated tracking system using $600 of commercially available off-the-shelf parts and intercepted 39 GEO satellites and 411 transponders across the sky.
the results? 50% of the IP links they scanned are broadcasting highly sensitive data back to earth in pure cleartext. no encryption. no security.
because organizations treat these satellite bounces as "internal private networks," they don't even bother using basic IPSec or TLS.
here is what they found flying through the air completely unencrypted:
→ telecom cellular backhaul (raw call audio, sms texts, and IMSIs)
→ military asset tracking & vessel locations
→ power grid monitoring & industrial control systems
→ banking ATM traffic & LDAP directories
→ retail inventory and aviation data
satellite TV has used link-layer encryption for decades to prevent piracy.. but critical infrastructure, military comms, and banks? completely wide open for anyone with a clear view of the sky and a cheap passive dish.
to pull this off, the researchers developed a custom universal traffic parser that blindly decodes the fragmented, proprietary protocol stacks of 7 different satellite vendors. once the dish was aligned.. the sky was literally raining private data.
they have already disclosed this massive vulnerability to the us military, t-mobile, and major global banks.
practical obscurity is officially dead. if you beam data to space without encryption, it is public data.
#War on #Iran#News? Any reliable news on US/Israel aggression against Iran?
Or are we still exchanging threatening news releases?

Right after I finished watching this my wife Cathy wandered into my office. I told her "I have just watched a longish video on the history of Linux adoption that didn't mention me once."
She peered at me and said "How does that make you feel?"
"Victorious," I said. "When my crazy ideas become such conventional wisdom that my name isn't on them anymore, I won."
Heads up, @OpenAI and @AnthropicAI. Rumor reaches my ears that you're doing a stupid thing, and should stop before you damage yourselves.
I hear you've now nerfed your models so that when people try to use them to clean the spamware and spyware out of their televisions, you block that.
If you really want Chinese open-weight models and open-source projects like OpenWaldo to eat your lunch, crippling your models so that people paying expensive subscriptions can't use them for completely legitimate purposes is a great way to accomplish this.
If, on the other hand, you'd rather have a volume business, maybe stupid arbitrary restrictions that look like they have the sole purpose of protecting corporate sleazeballs aren't such a good idea.
A word to the wise should be sufficient.
