Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦
I love this country because of the people who build it every day—families, volunteers, small business owners, tradespeople, healthcare workers, first responders, and everyone else who contributes to their community.

@NanaimoNewsNOW The entire Nanaimo zoning bylaw needs to modernize. All these location contingent COR1 and DT4 zonings make it impossible for businesses to move and expand to different areas. Nanaimo doesn’t even have a standard Commercial zone (i.e. C-1, C-2, etc.)!
@NanaimoNewsNOW Many are struggling to find suitable rental accommodation, so regardless of popularity, increased rental supply is the natural consequence of population growth.
@VancouverSun With rising costs of living, especially in major metropolitan centres, combined with a growing trend towards a zoom/work-from-home economy, we expect to see an increase in migration toward more rural communities.
@CTVNewsVI Unfortunately, this may prove a growing trend, particularly in older buildings where gross rental incomes have not kept pace with rising costs and capital expenditures.
