77 years ago today over 7,000 prisoners of the German Nazi camp #Auschwitz, including some 700 children, were liberated by the soldiers of the Soviet Army. 1,689 days of murder, pain, suffering, and humiliation were over. Today we all remember. We must remember. | #Auschwitz77
@CapitolAdvocate@Suddenlink No. Year after year after year of 10-20% increases on PSC regulated electric, water, and sewer bills with no improvement in service shows that the PSC is the worst option. Marketplace competition will drive lower costs and better services. Not govt bureaucrats
@SusanMileyWV Sure this is bad. But, the press invariably makes the situation about themselves. That reporter or any individual’s 1st Amendment rights are no greater than the 5th, 14th, and 8th Amendment rights of Floyd and countless others.
@TomRoten The simple answer from the plain language is NO.
The problem is that government employees (courts) decide how much power government employees (executives) have with respect to infringement of inalienable rights.
@stevenadamswv Don’t get snippy. You asked a question during the presser. They didn’t give you the correct answer or any real citation to authority at all.
I was just trying to help you out by providing you some info with the correct citation.
I won’t make that mistake again.
Gov has no authority under statute or WV Const to move election date as it is set in code by the Legislature.
However, WV Secretary of State does have authority pursuant to WV Code 3-1A-6(e) to make changes to ensure voters can cast valid ballots.
@stevenadamswv
@stevenadamswv There is no reason to stretch chapter 15 authority when we specifically added the authority to SoS in response to actual states of emergency that impacted voting a few years ago.
