@BinkleyHoops@GeorgeBail93731 We do have young talent, but those picks are extremely valuable. If we wanted to do a soft reset next year those picks allow for that. If we want to target a younger star, those picks are the most important weapons to get it done. Kyrie’s older, oft injured, and not a 1A leader.
Which teams have cultivated the most (and least wins) from drafted + UDFA in the last 5 years?
Milwaukee has accumulated the 3rd fewest wins contributed from players who BEGAN their career with the Bucks since their championship in 2021…
@3Ps_Pod1@TheHoopCentral You had to pull a tweet from 6 years ago? Damn the fact you went that deep down the rabbit hole is sad and once again, fucking weird.
@AKInfinity_VVS Not sure why, but I locked into the Knicks on the East these playoffs and this isn’t even the best ball they’ve played. Spurs defense definitely changing some plays, but they’re beasts. Rockets forever, but Knicks for now.
@BiasedHouston It’s not that they’re all fantastic ball handlers, it’s that the ball moves so well they can take advantage of the angle before them. Coaching and teamwork.
@fyrebear That seems like it would lower the value of a bad team’s picks. If a bottom feeder team wants to trade what could be juicy picks for a talented player and they recently had good lottery luck it would make those picks lose value, no? If so it would weaken a bad teams ammunition…
@RedNinetyFour For most franchises yea. Rudy T, Phil Jackson, and Pops rose above because they had the IQ & EQ to balance their hard nosed personas.
@zayiceman171 It’s funny, he’s electric and Jordan-esque when he doesn’t foul bait. But some games he just decides to flail like a fish out of water. Absolute joy when he plays straight up.
@RedNinetyFour He operates as an underdog, tough nosed bench player, which is great for setting a mindset/preparation baseline. But he’s the head coach of a fucking NBA franchise. Being tough only goes so far. Schematic & emotional intelligence is what makes a great coach (e.g. Jackson/Kerr).
@AbelGe87 There’s always been something off with this staff. We’re season ticket holders and every timeout he doesn’t sit with his team. He and a few ast coaches chat on the court, come back really fast, bark a few orders, then play continues. I’ve never seen such a lack of direction.
@AbelGe87 Which is a shame because Tate is actually usable off-ball and a solid finisher; if we had a scheme for Amen (how he should be used) you could kinda C+V that for Tate. I’ve never in 30 years of watching this team seen such a clear coaching issue. Ime has hit and exceeded McHale.
