Describe your job in construction but make it sound like a crime.
I'll go first: I get paid to read other people's plans, find their mistakes, and charge them to fix it.
AI fear is expensive.
Every month a construction company waits to adopt takeoff tech, estimating AI, or project management automation — a competitor is cutting costs they can't match.
The cost of ignoring AI isn't visible on day one. It compounds. Then it's too late.
Stop calling Gen Z lazy.
A 22-year-old entering the workforce today has been exposed to more tools, information, and problem-solving frameworks than most 30-year-olds had a decade ago.
They don't want to wait 10 years to "earn the right" to contribute. They want responsibility on day one.
The companies that figure this out first will win the next decade.
Using AI like a calculator is the wrong move.
The people who win aren't prompting AI for answers. They're building agents that handle the busywork so they can spend more time actually thinking.
The education system hasn't caught up to this. Most companies haven't either.
Everyone's panicking about AI taking construction jobs. Meanwhile we literally cannot find enough electricians, pipe fitters, or ironworkers to build the projects we already have. The crisis isn't automation. It's a skills gap nobody wants to talk about.
The price of knowledge is going to zero.
GPT-4 knows more than most consultants. Claude knows more than most analysts. AI agents are doing work that took teams of 10.
This doesn't make humans less valuable. It makes judgment more valuable.
The people who can ask the right questions will be worth more than ever. The ones who only had answers? That's the problem.
🌊 Florida’s seawalls are aging fast, and the clock is ticking.
Miami Beach alone has 55+ miles of walls, most privately owned + aging. By 2040, billions will be needed just to hold the line.
We can’t just rebuild — we need new ideas:
🧱 3D-printed living walls
🌱 Hybrid seawalls
⚡ Faster, flexible permitting

🌍 The global AI race for government is on.
Microsoft just gave millions of U.S. govt workers free access to 365 Copilot.
China + India can move fast with centralization.
The U.S. has decentralization.
Question is: will AI make our “laboratory of democracy” stronger — or slow us down?

Those poles under new decks? 👀 They’re called reshoring. They carry the weight until the concrete cures and becomes part of the structure. Small detail, huge impact. #construction
Thank you to @miamiweekly for the feature! Honored to share how AI is transforming construction through @togal_ai and taking weeks of work down to seconds.
Grateful to be part of the conversation on how AI is shaping the future across industries, while keeping people at the center.

No one expected the US government to be taking a cut of China chip sales. Is this a smart strategy in the AI arms race… or a dangerous gamble?

Most people see a slab of concrete. Builders see the foundation for a watertight bathroom.
It’s the smallest details that decide if your shower lasts decades or causes costly repairs. Planning ahead and waterproofing early = peace of mind later. #constructiontech#waterproofing #planning
As a former Member of Congress + AI founder, I know every export-control decision is a national security decision.
Nvidia/AMD can now sell some AI chips to China—if 15% of revenues go to DC. On paper: control + cash. In practice: fueling Beijing’s chip race. https://t.co/rgCC21F0jK via @CBSNews
Building on Fisher Island isn’t just about luxury, it’s about logistics. Every load of concrete has just 90 minutes before it expires, and when it all has to cross by ferry, timing becomes everything. #fisherisland#buildingthefuture#constructiontech#constructionwork #coastalconstruction
