Don't let anyone gaslight you into believing that people who 'manage' land in this way for grouse shooting are any sort of custodian.
As Scotland's first recorded historical figure reputedly said about the Roman empire: 'They create a desert and call it a peace.'
Akrotiri highlights: Two Israeli ringed Little Tern, looking forward to finding out more details.
+ Spoonbill, 12 Glossy Ibis, Little Bittern, 3 Purple, 15 Squacco & Night Heron, 10 Black-winged Stilt, Wood Sandpiper, Pallid & Alpine Swifts & Yellow Wagtail

Someone sent me this photo of Ben Nevis, taken today. In the picture are several hills taller than 1000 metres. You’d be forgiven for thinking that this was taken in June, such is the lack of snow.
⭐️ Yesterday, our teams celebrated what would have been the 100th birthday of Gerald Durrell.
💚 Lee Durrell, widow of Gerald, unveiled a plaque at the Manor House where the conservationist lived within the grounds of Jersey Zoo.

After more than two years of work, we’ve published an article demonstrating that the poor condition of Doñana negatively affects waterbirds across the ENTIRE continent!

"Bumblebee population increases 116 times over in 'remarkable' Scotland rewilding project."

Illegal Hunting in Protected Bird Sanctuaries
Over the past week, BirdLife Malta exposed illegal hunting in the protected bird sanctuaries of Buskett and Comino
Video evidence led to hunters
being caught and facing prosecution
These incidents show the urgent need for stronger enforcement to protect these safe zones for migratory and nesting birds.
While some action has been taken, more resources and monitoring are essential to truly safeguard our wildlife.
