Sod it. For the purposes of full transparency, here are our canvassing returns from Makerfield that weโve had back so far from the door knocking today.
1,010 sample size.
24.6% for Restore Britain.
31.2% definitely against.
24.2% undecided.
20% considering.
Excluding wonโt votes.
More teams coming back, so the sample size will grow a lot in the next few hours.
Largely agrees with what weโve found over the last week - astounding response with the working class, more difficult with wealthier areas. To be honest.
Labour are the opponent in the fancier places, Reform with the working class.
Our campaign has just taken off. Great name recognition already, but clearly room to grow.
Letโs see what happens.
But weโre very happy with progress.
Michael Ramage - Didn't attend 4 Council Meetings, suspended
Nick Brown - Over Toft Hill Bypass
Kenny Hope & Andrew Harrison - Disputes over leadership after being suspended
Kate Rowland - Reason unknown?
Shall we see how Reform on Durham County Council are doing?
10 Councillors gone since the 2025 election, they being:
Andrew Kilburn - Worked for the Council
John Bailey - Ill health
Paul Bean - Expelled
Jack Mcglenen - Expelled
David Cumming - Gained employment abroad

@teomanonline_ God gave the land to the people.
Right to access doesn't infringe your property rights, it's not unbridled access to wherever you want. Right to responsibly access excludes the actual property, rather than just undeveloped land around it, like fields.
@teomanonline_ There's no reason why footpaths and right to roam can't coexist.
It's what happens in basically every bit of open access land in England.
The FSU is disappointed that the King's Speech included a draft bill to ban conversion therapy. Trying to force gay people to become straight is already illegal in this country, so what does the Government want to ban?
We fear Labour wants to make it a criminal offence for parents and health professionals to try to persuade gender-confused children not to embark on irreversible, life-changing medical treatment that can leave them permanently sterile and cause other lasting harms. If that is the Government's intention, we will vigorously campaign against the bill.
๐จ NEW: Buckingham Palace has privately asked No 10 whether the King's Speech should go ahead tomorrow
One source: "The Palace view is โwe do not want to be any part of this conversation -ย do not bring us into it'..."

NEW: Catherine West has just told me she didn't mean to write "in September" in her letter to MPs calling for a leadership elex.
"I shouldn't have written 'in' [September], I should have written 'by'," she said. She wants a contest to begin "soon" and leader in place by Sept 1.
All this demonstrates how AMS isn't proportional.
Nationalist Parties got 40% of the vote and 55% of the seats.
Nevertheless, it's seriously impressive from the SNP, and congrats to the Scottish Lib Dems on our best result in 20 years!
