@PhinsChris I think people forget how rare it is for 31+ year old stars with leverage to get their full return back in trade value. It’s improbable. Hardly ever happens. KG at 31 was traded to the celts for a bunch of JAGs, a young Al Jefferson, and 2 firsts.
Bill Simmons thinks the Heat offering Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez, and picks is A LOT for Giannis:
“I thought that was a lot. Giannis, does he have 2 really good years left, maybe 3? I don’t know who else is desperate enough to trade for him. It feels like the Heat is the only team…. I don’t know if the Bucks are doing better than that”
(Via @BillSimmons)
@BillSimmons Lets put it into perspective, the Heat are rumored to be trading 5 players they selected with first round picks (Herro, Ware, Jovic, Kas, Jaime) and three future first round picks for one player, including one lottery pick (13) in a stacked draft.
@BillSimmons Doesnt boston want Giannis for pennies on the dollar too w/o giving up Brown? Didn't Boston win a championship by stealing KG when he was 31 for Al Jefferson (in his third year - was still a project), scrubs and role players, and 2 first round picks?
@NBA__Courtside Should we not mention that they essentially play 2 different positions which impacts some of their stats . I think Harden also played in more games. Knowing what we know about their careers, I think most GMs would elect to start their franchise with Wade over Harden.
@JeffGSpursZone Let's cut out the second half of the fourth quarter...you still enjoying Wemby's 39 over Bam's 70+ before the game got crazy???? This is just heat hate.
@PoupartNFL Agreed. The referee expert on tv said Kupp took that third step which means the ball is complete so it just becomes a matter of whether he was down before he fumbled which he was. if only 2 steps and everything else was the same, its incomplete for not surviving the ground.
@IKE_Packers You're telling me Malik Willis wants to be a back-up making back-up money and not go lead his own team, start, and make a lot more? This has to be homer shit to its core.
@flasportsbuzz When you contextualize MMcD's role, experience level, the rosters, it goes beyond Herbert/Tua stuff. He will have success not because of the QB, but because he learned about playcalling here and he has a good HC taking on all the hard decisions and overall team prep.
@flasportsbuzz I disagree. MMcD was hired to be a HC here. He was a playcalling OC & HC for the first time at the same time & his flaws & inexperience were very apparent here. As an OC, he now has 4 yrs of playcalling experience thanks to Miami. Its completely different.
@MasterAtWorkinc@DouglieDoWrong This is actually incorrect. This is the patriots second attempt at their rebuild. This is their third head coach and they already moved on from their previous 1st round QB.
@FinsXtra@speakeasytlkshw Dont know why ppl have to invent stuff. He is playing conservative to reduce injury risk. These physical limitations (from injuries) and playing with extreme caution are the reasons for his regression; not his hand size.
@HussamPatel There are four criteria IMO. Good wins, bad losses, head to head, common opponent. Miami has a better resume because they win 3 of these 4 criteria.
