I’m not shilling for data centers, I’m asking people to stop panicking without doing math. Golf courses in the 🇺🇸 use hundreds of billions of gallons of water a year, data centers are around like 15 billion. That’s 20–40x more for golf, and farmland is on a whole different planet in both land and water use. We’re arguing about 5 cents (data centers) while ignoring the hundred dollar bill.
