Oklahoma has unlimited potential. But right now, too many families feel like government has lost its way.

Despite record education funding, Oklahoma continues ranking around 48th–50th nationally in key K-12 outcomes. Reading and math proficiency remain alarmingly low:

• Only ~27% of Oklahoma 3rd graders tested proficient in reading in 2025
• NAEP scores show just ~20–30% proficiency in reading and math across many grade levels
• Outcomes in many areas still lag pre-COVID levels

Meanwhile, per-pupil funding has surged to roughly $13,700–$14,000+ per student, up more than 50% since 2017–18.

So where is the disconnect?

There is no single villain behind Oklahoma’s education struggles.

No Superintendent alone can fix all of it.

But Oklahoma voters should ask one key question in 2026:

Who has the proven ability to improve literacy, math, discipline, teacher quality, transparency, and trust in our schools?
