To be fair to President Zelenskyy, he has seen immeasurable amounts of death, minute after minute, that changes you as a person.

And to carry the burden of an entire country, is no joke as well. to know that millions of life’s depend on him.

And Vance wants to “show his power” to prove himself in front of the media and Trump. That’s always what the new young guy at work wants to do.

A president of any nation is a position of respect, big or small, and a vice president should never try to shame a president of other country like that. Much even less in public.

It is obvious that the USA has a position of power, no need to shame and crush the president of another country in front of the media like that. That’s not good manners. Specially when this man has had to bear the destruction of his nation and he is still standing. He deserves some respect. He has earned it and BILLIONS of people around the world know it.

It is known that when American soldiers come from war, they come with a lot of pain, and sorrow, and they get respected as veterans. How much more respect should have a soldier who has seen a much larger scale of death? And the entire result of the country rest on him?

That deserves the utmost respect.

Ultimately heated discussions should happen at closed doors not in public.

At the end of the day. Only president to President can talk to east other as equals. Let Trump do the hard talk.

This was not the way to treat a president of any country.

While doing so might be popular for people in the USA, the other of us, BILLIONS outside in the world, don’t like to see that the USA will bring to their knees morally a president in front of the media just to look cool.

That is not the way of the great men who have graced this earth. I hope Vance learns the proper manners of a gentleman as he gets older. And should have acted differently.

You’re not shaming ONE guy. You’re shaming MILLIONS of Ukrainians making them feel like second class people, and taint their history with this event.

If the Vp of the USA truly wants to show greatness, learn the ways of gentlemen.

Eso no lo sabía, muy interesante. Las distintas culturas nos influenciamos los unos a los otros, para mi es lo bonito del mundo. Me frustra cuando me encuentro con personas que creen que todas las personas del mundo son igualitas a las personas de EE.UU, y que nos toca promover nuestra forma de hacer las cosas en todas partes.

Gracias. Hay pocas cosas que me molestan más que la falta de respeto hacia la cultura y las normas de otros países. Si a la gente no les gusta la forma de ser de otro país, que se queden en el suyo. Para mi, fue doloroso y vergonzoso como embajador algunos episodios de mis compatriotas maleducados y no me tardé en pedir disculpas. Me complace mucho que se me recuerda como una persona respetuosa de las culturas ajenas — así me criaron mis padres y así Caroline y yo criamos a nuestros hijos. Saludos.
