You’re right Jazzy…. I’m sure Austin Metcalf’s family hasn’t been in agony a day in their life….
This is not only an ignorant statement—it’s vial and pure evil.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces began launching self-defense strikes against Iran at 5 p.m. ET today at the Commander in Chief’s direction, in response to yesterday’s downing of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter. The mission is a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression.
Warner Bros. is crowing that "Supergirl" sold approximately 110,000 tickets in its first 24 hours in the U.S., or around $1.75 million in presales.
For context, that puts her behind:
"Superman": 325,000 tickets/$5 million
"Black Widow: 175,000 tickets/$2.4 million
"Thunderbolts*": 160,000 tickets/$2.5 million
Some more fun facts:
Production budget: ~$175 million
Marketing (estimated): ~$75–100 million
Distribution costs/fees (estimated): ~$25–50 million
Total cost: roughly $275–325 million
Estimated theatrical breakeven: roughly $550–650 million worldwide!
And even if we lowball marketing at just $25 million, the movie would still need around $450 million worldwide to break even theatrically.
So while the trades are celebrating a $1.75 million opening day of presales, IMO "Supergirl" is already DOA.
Hollywood math is a hell of a drug.
I still can't stop laughing!😂🤣
BREAKING: Ken Paxton’s own lawyer just endorsed James Talarico:
“I defended Ken Paxton for years in the impeachment trial and in state criminal cases. But in my view, I think Ken has lost sight of his core mission, which is to represent the people of Texas.
And unlike Ken, I believe that you, James, believe in unity over division and that you know how to assemble not only Democrats but Independents and Republicans and we need that right now.
We need unity, we don't need any more division and that's why I'm supporting you.”
