I celebrated my road’s street lamp being relit after six months (just in time for summer) by giving it its first coat of paint for 50 years. I expect the council will nick it now to reuse in Clifton.
@hayestweets @RTPIPlanners @jplcoxford Nice. I hope you are proud of your contribution to town planning in those 50 years, Mike? You should be! Many congratulations.
Rob, congrats to you for your leadership of the planning service in Haringey and for the recognition of the hard work of your team by the PAS Peer Review showing the importance of this sector-led improvement approach.
My professor in the last year of my 5 year Town and Country Planning degree course at Newcastle Uni, so very sad to hear this news. As you say Mark, an inspirational academic who highlighted why local plans should be truely at the heart of a locally democratic planning system.
In celebration of the life, work and legacy of Professor Patsy Healey OBE FBA 1940-2024. A remarkable academic, a true inspiration, and wonderful human being. Her work will inspire the planning community for many years to come. Here’s a photo from Glasgow in September 2023
A commemorative plaque has been unveiled at Platinum Parkway today, as the scheme approaches its first anniversary. The plaque was unveiled by Councillor Mark Lowry, Cabinet Member for Finance, during a visit by @NationalHways and @HeartofSWLEP

#Globalwarming of 1.1°C has resulted in more frequent & more intense extreme weather events that have caused dangerous impacts on nature & people worldwide.
Every increment of warming results in rapidly escalating hazards.
