@Kyle_Gunn97 Gilmour wasn’t likely to start. Christie, Mcginn, Mctominay, Ferguson all been ahead of him regardless of mcginn being on the right. McLean been much more impressive for Scotland than Gilmour has been in the past few years also
@bonnie72379@munro0007@Kyle_Gunn97 He’s not a bad player. He’s just not a starting player ahead of McGinn, McTominay, Christie or even McLean (who outshines Gilmour every time and can be slated purely out of name). Manager also seems to like Ferguson ahead of him.
For me he wasn’t likely to start in the USA
@bonnie72379@munro0007@Kyle_Gunn97 He was stinking in the ones he played though. Especially home v Belarus. He isn’t as good as media and social media make him out to be.
@munro0007@Kyle_Gunn97 He’s not the one player though. All of the above can keep the ball but also contribute in other ways. I’m gutted for the lad but he wasn’t starting at the World Cup. He only started against Belarus in qualifying and was honking at Hampden in that game
@saintmirrenfc All good things come to an end. Hope this protects his legacy as the current slump could have us having to move on from him if he was unable to turn it around.
Undoubtedly the most sustained successful period of this 90s kid St Mirren supporting life. Time is right though
@GintoSmfc@ScotSupporters Great display.
Last in isn’t correct though a good % of those lads are balaclavas on and round the train station as soon as the whistle goes at home matches
Additionally, the drum is pish and the songbook lacks traditional St Mirren songs. Alienating the rest of the stadium
@BlacknWhitePins I think Taylor gets swallowed up in the top league. He finished strongly but his positioning was poor off the ball throughout. Despite being tidy he’s not strong or fast enough for the way we play in a centre mid role
