Pierre Poilievre has been invited to attend the 9/11 25th anniversary in New York City and has confirmed that he will be in attendance.
According to a news release from the Conservative Party, Pierre will be taking part in numerous interviews on major media networks while in New York sending a clear message appealing for free trade and cooperation between the U.S. and Canada.
Pierre will also be highlighting the contributions made by Canadians and Americans together in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Pierre will also be meeting with investors and businesses among other ventures.

Trump isn’t saying Canada can never trade with China.

He’s warning about something much bigger:

China → Canada → U.S. market.

Canada has privileged access to the world’s largest economy through CUSMA.

If Chinese companies establish manufacturing and supply chains in Canada, America fears China could use Canada as a gateway into the U.S. economy.

And frankly…

I think Trump is right to be concerned.

Canada should trade with the world — including China.

But we better be VERY careful about becoming economically dependent on Beijing or compromising our relationship with our largest trading partner.

Trade with China? Yes.
Become China’s North American back door? Absolutely not.

Canada’s interests must come first. 🇨🇦
