In the 2025–26 financial year, the UK Treasury received £331 billion in Income Tax. In the same period, the Government spent £333 billion on welfare.

This situation is clearly unsustainable and requires urgent change.

For the first time ever, we’re now spending more on welfare than we raise from those who are actually working.

We need to change course: cut the burden on hard-working taxpayers, reward their effort, and create real incentives for more people to get into work and contribute.

The current path isn’t fair — and it can’t last.

I work often work in neighbourhoods where most who live there don’t work. While I'm up and at it at 7.30, you won't see them before 11, unless they're on the school run, in their PJs, then in their 25 plate car on pip, then straight back to bed.

Old slippers and pizza boxes are strewn about in the streets, weed hangs in the air,  little kids play in gardens full of rubbish and broken trampolines. They've all got dogs, they've all got phones and everything else. I'm 50 almost, and working since before I left school is taking its toll.

On Wednesday Labour are going to fuck me, you and every other worker over again to pay for this shit show, raising other people's kids and feeding and housing an invading army of people that hate us and abuse our women.

We're fools to put up with this, history will view us as idiots if we do.

One presides over crime from behind a desk, the other faced it head-on, bare-handed, on a moving train.

While politicians collect titles for “service,” real service looks like a 61-year-old Nottingham Forest fan who heard screams, stood up, and fought a knife-wielding attacker to save strangers.

Creen didn’t have a police escort, a security detail, or a medal waiting at the end. He had instinct, guts, and decency, the kind this country used to honour.

If Britain still understood the meaning of knighthood, it wouldn’t be Sadiq Khan kneeling before the King. It would be Sir Stephen Creen, protector of passengers, the man who risked his life when the system failed.

Surpassing Gordon Banks' previous record of seven, the Everton shot-stopper now has eight in a row and has not conceded a goal between the national sticks for almost a year. As for the ever-presence, reliability and consistency he boasts, it's not spoken about enough.

Not only did he provide big stops when called upon v Wales to see the record over the line, but he's done it when the stakes are much higher too. Penalty heroics in major tournaments vs Switzerland and Colombia. Game-changing saves vs Germany in Euro 2020. In 2018, 2021 and 2024, England could have easily headed for early exits, if it wasn't for JP.

Never making a blunder for the team too, it's a priceless value for a national team keeper playing at the most intense level of football. We've seen way too many of those blunders, but not with Pickford.

Part of understanding Wayne Rooney is not simply pouring through his stats to understand his greatness & impact. He played out wide in a front three, behind the striker, as the striker, in midfield, he prioritised winning above his numbers & desire to win awards.

Ruud van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez, Dimitar Berbatov, Robin van Persie, no matter who it was he adapted & thrived to do what was best for Manchester United. It's easy to misjudge his football IQ because of his raw talent, but he had it all.

A true one of one footballer. Underrated to this day.
