Billig - This crosswalk sign has a mounted speaker on its side, announcing to people with visual impairments when it is safe or unsafe to walk. This, in combination with textured crosswalks, makes walking in Kent a more accessible mode of transportation. #KSU_WalkabilitySP19

This lamp post is a newer model, designed with an array of downward-facing LEDs. Not only are the LEDs an efficient source of light, but the downward design means that light floods only the area beneath it, instead of filling the sky with light pollution. #KSU_ConservationSp19

This is the renovated CUE (next to the MACC) on campus. It is a certified LEED Gold building; a national standard set to measure positive environmental impact of building design. Large windows reduce the need for artificial light and improve health of staff. #KSU_ConservationSp19

This is a Japanese Maple on the Million-Dollar Grass next to Williams Hall. It grows a deep red leaf, but is not native to NE OH. If Kent State were to grow native species on its campus, it would be a creative way to beautify campus and help local wildlife. #KSU_ConservationSp19
