I know every generation has their class struggles, but let me tell you about the summer of 1990 when Supersoakers hit the market and only a few kids could afford them and the rest of us were hunted for sport.
The gunman’s Democrat talking points manifesto, in which he explains exactly why he attempted to kill Trump and members of his administration, has been public for nearly seven hours now. This post is an hour old.
Cole Allen is the Dunning-Kruger Assassin.
Allen is not some random nut job from the fringes of society. He’s a very articulate graduate of Caltech, which means he has a high degree of native intelligence. He’s in the education profession. He is on BlueSky. He goes to No Kings protests. He’s your basic rank-and-file Democrat.
But it’s that high native intellect that led him astray.
The Dunning-Kruger Effect is, at its simplest level, people thinking they know more that they do. People who are high achievers in one area often mistakenly believe their native abilities make them experts in all areas.
So you get a super-smart guy like Allen, he excels in one narrow area, and extrapolates that excellence into thinking he knows more than he does in other areas. He goes into Blue Sky, he goes to No Kings protests, and he is easily swayed into believing all of the insane, violent lies those sorts of intellectual cesspools foster. All of a sudden this computer science expert is a national political policy expert too, except that latter expertise is derived from insane propaganda. The man with the intellectual skill to write code is not smart enough to recognize when he himself has fallen prey to propaganda, so he KNOWS that Donald Trump is Hitler and must be stopped.
And when you KNOW that someone is Hitler, what’s the right thing to do?
That’s what is so scary at this very moment—the sheer number of ostensibly educated Democrats who KNOW so many things are “true" that are actually so very, very untrue.
In many ways, Cole Allen is just an average Democrat, and like most average Democrats, he fell prey to credentialism and Dunning-Kruger. But Cole took it to the next level; let’s pray more do not.
Here is what I tend to notice – – the pastors who are most concerned with Christians being overly political because they are conservative are the same pastors whose feeds are almost nothing, but their negative thoughts about Trump.
Whereas most of the politically conservative pastors I know rarely post about Trump.
Funny that.
The SPLC was simultaneously funding violent extremists, raising money to fight those extremists, and advising law enforcement on how to arrest those extremists. Insane corruption.
I've known people who, year in and year out, are in a constant state of stress and panic about "the state of the world" in a way that genuinely affects the quality of their life. They're experiencing real, distressing emotions about vague abstractions they have no control over and no plans to take control of them. They truly believe they are on the cusp of a disaster, and never seem to become aware that the world is huge and complex and at any point in time, something bad is happening to someone because that's just life. Empathy doesn't seem to scale. At the point it becomes an abstraction, it turns into a kind of mental illness.
This is exactly why I’ve come to see that progressive “Christianity” is just the mirror of everything that they claim to hate. I have yet to hear a progressive Christian ever critique an ideal on the left. The won’t do it. They can’t do it. Zero credibility.
The other guys misled you into believing that Jesus was entirely on their political party's side, but as it turns out Jesus is entirely on *my* political party's side.

This is how Progressive “Christians” get around the abortion issue. They know they can’t speak against it because Leftists, those they try so hard to appease, will come after them. But they can’t endorse it (in most cases) because it’s clearly not loving like Christ.
I look forward to the day when left-leaning Christians stop strawmanning the progressive vs. conservative divide as one about:
empathy vs. no empathy
justice vs. injustice
love vs. hate
siding with the marginalized vs. siding with the powerful
(The list could go on.)
Any thoughtful attempt at dialog will not perpetuate these gross mischaracterizations of different views. Go ahead and disagree with other views, of course, but be sure you can accurately characterize what those who hold them are saying and why.
This is not that.
Funny to see people who crawl over broken glass to make absolutely everything political, do what they do always do-
make sports/music political-
Then turn around and lecture everyone about how the thing they made political
"Does not have to be political!"
Understand this or you understand nothing:
Leftists are about the acquisition of power at any cost.
Illegals are a key pillar in that program. They are votes, nothing more.
