Deeply saddened to hear that Gerry Kelly died this morning. There was always a huge buzz around Havelock House on a Friday when The Kelly Show was on air. People will miss his cheerful countenance. But to us, his colleagues, he was family. We are all family right now!!!
@RicksCafe349343 Sam… my favourite all-time movie!!! I’ll not bore you with the best lines… there are too many. Oh, alright then… “round up the usual suspects!”
@CumannIreland@GerryKellyShow@BBCCiN Can’t remember the year of the link-up with The Late Late… but it was a big deal for us in Havelock House. The Children in Need link-up was a different occasion.
@GerryKellyShow was a star!!! He wore his crown lightly! He was a master with conversation, on TV, and made it look easy, when it was anything but! Always at the top of his game. I remember the live link-up with Gay Byrne, on The Late Late, and @BBCCiN
@thatweecafe Garth Brooks @garthbrooks had a huge soft spot for @GerryKellyShow He appeared on the show on a number of occasions. He was a really down-to-earth guy. The two really clicked!!! On one occasion, Garth wouldn’t leave the building until he had signed every autograph!!!
Comghairdeas @MayoGAA 75 years is a long wait!!! Now that the curse has been broken…. remember to pay proper respect to any funeral you may encounter on the way home with Sam!!!!!
Dermot Murnaghan was so accomplished at his job, that he made it look easy. It is anything but… his early death as a result of prostate cancer is a lesson for all us men!!!!!!
Deeply saddened to learn of the death of Dermot Murnaghan. Strong Northern Ireland connections. He was related to Sheelagh Murnaghan, who was a Liberal politician here…
@RoismairedSF@DeirdreHargey Ard Mhéara, I saw your wreath, when I was covering this morning’s ceremony at the cenotaph. I mentioned it in my report on this evening’s @UTVNews Go raibh míle maith agat… Pól Ó Cléirigh
